Coronavirus - we're #inthistogether

Coronavirus - we're #inthistogether

To say 2020 has been a tough year is the mother of all understatements. Here in Shrewsbury, we had the worst flooding for decades in February, and then March has been dominated by the coronavirus outbreak.

And there’s no obvious end in sight.

So as a small business owner, I have been faced by the same question that all of us are grappling with - do we carry on as normal or batten down the hatches until this all goes away?

The Glass Studio provides a wide range of decorative glass - which admittedly is unlikely to be at the top of most people’s priorities right now - but I feel I owe it to the business and my family to keep going. So that’s what I am going to do.

Shropshire has an unbelievable business community, and we work with some fantastic businesses on a daily basis - whether it’s an artist providing jaw-dropping artwork for our glass splashbacks, or a kitchen designer working with us to provide a burst of colour in their kitchen design - and we want to keep supporting them too.

So rather than hunkering down and keeping quiet, we are going to ramp up our social media communication over the coming weeks and months to keep shouting about our fantastic businesses here in Shropshire.

Of course we are acutely aware of the public health crisis we are currently living through, but we are all in this together.

So we will be sharing:

The beautiful artwork and photography which adorn our glass products

The inspiring kitchen designs which improve people’s home lives

The fantastic work of many of our fellow businesses, whether it’s directly related to us or not.

We are all #inthistogether

Let’s keep talking, keep sharing, and let’s hope as many businesses as possible make it to the other side.
